Why do I have dark patches and ringworm? | ClinicSpots (2025)

I saw few bumps on my chest black in color...my skin color is brown. They are few in number 3-4. I had fungal infection and I took medicine and anti fungal cream from my doctor which caused itchiness ,I started using NEEM soap which reduced those symptoms . But these bumps on chest remained , and I searched this on google and it showed extreme results so I'm concerned .please helpMale | 18The lumps on your chest may be a frequent phenomenon doctors refer to as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is a condition that is characterized by skin discoloration because of the old inflammatory lesions like those caused by the normal Trychophyton infection. In brief, these lumps are just the parts of your skin that were affected and are now darker because of that. Neem soap was an appropriate choice to lessen the itching, but for these bumps, it is better to let them dissipate by themselves. If you notice any changes or the bumps do not get better, then it would be a smart decision to get a consultation with a dermatologist. This extra blood can make your face look puffy. Rest, hydration, and a cold compress can help reduce the swelling. However, if it persists or gets worse, it's important to consult a doctor, as it could indicate something more serious than a regular cold. Answered on 4th Oct '24 Read answer My daughter has a small raised bumps on her Arms and legs my gp won’t see her until next week Female | 8From what you say, your daughter may be a candidate for a common skin condition called keratosis pilaris. It leads to small, raised bumps on the arms and legs. Potentially, these bumps may be rough and can be either red or flesh-colored. Keratosis pilaris is the result of the skin cells blocking hair follicles. Suggest her to use a scrub and moisturizing creams to help skin improvement. Stay away from rubbing or scratching the bumps. If the bumps don't disappear or get more severe, take her to a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis. Is it serious problem or not? Female | 20Yet, losing around 200 shed hairs just while combing, and subsequently losing more during the day can denote an accompanying issue. Elements like stress, hormonal changes, problems with nutrition, or scalp conditions might cause this. I advise you to rethink your nutrition, take care of stress, and make use of appropriate hair care daily. If the condition remains unchanged, a dermatologist is the right step to get the exact cause and a personalized remedy.
