Okay, so it's an auto, but someone might be interested in this 1990 with 26k miles at an estate sale in Guntersville, Alabama. Here is a link, and a couple of pictures. The lady said they are asking $5,500 OBO, and it goes to whoever brings the cash. She said the tires are dry rotted.

Wow, only two photos but that Miata looks almost brand new.

That 1965 RHD Land Cruiser looks pretty sweet, too.

Look at the garage those vehicles are housed in!!!! I now have garage envy ;) !

The Silverstone appears well preserved. Now it just needs the right buyer for the automatic.

Probably sell at $5K +/- . Autos will come into their own one day, just no telling when that day will come :dunno: .

Cars that are a joy to drive come into their own. Automatic Miatas certainly do not fit that description.

I could see the car going for it's $5,500 price if it's as clean as it looks in the pictures.

Shame it was not closer.

It would be more of a joy to drive, if I could no longer push a clutch, and had to choose auto miata or something else.

Give yourself some time and the AT will look pretty good. I am going on age 86 and find great comfort driving my AT. Too many people "bash" automatics and when I was much younger, I would not have wanted any car with an AT, but I never faulted anyone that owned one. JMOIt would be more of a joy to drive, if I could no longer push a clutch, and had to choose auto miata or something else.

I love my auto, to me it is a joy to drive Why do you guys always have to put in your anti auto opinion? We know you don't like them but do you have to keep harping about it? What if the only Miatas were a stick? Should people who are older or have knee problems be denied the joy of driving a nimble little roadster? I applaud Miata for making a auto available It wasn't available in a lot of the cars I owned and at times I got tired of rowing through the gears even when I was 30...........................So do us a favor.....................Just shut up about the auto trans!!

Honestly it shouldn't even matter what other people think about the car you drive. If you like it just drive it and who cares what other people think and don't let it bother you...

... there are much more important things to get all worked up about in life. :)

I see your point but almost every thread of a Miata with an auto someone just has to bad mouth it, it gets old. It's the same as the muscle car guys calling your miata a girls car on the street or bad mouthing Mgs when I had them........................." Don't these break a lot?" No they don't I used to hear it all the time.......It got old also. Actually the auto after I drove it was a selling point on my '91 to me.

I hear you exmgman, but I also agree that (while I still can) I want my little roadster in manual form. I do applaud Mazda for offering our favorite little convertible in auto too.

This is good for the automatic Miata owners and buyers. The popular opinion that sports cars should be manual keeps auto prices down. The good ones don't get snapped up too quickly.

I have seen many beautiful and well preserved lower mile Miatas offered for sale, but ignored due to an automatic transmission.

I do not dislike the auto option and hope that if I ever need / choose to search for one, they will still be available at a fair price.

If this car checks all the right boxes then why not do a swap for a 5 speed ? :dunno: I don't want an auto but then again I am older and not able / or city driving then why not a cool fun to drive 2 seater . Beats the hell out of a Honda 4 door

I own (and have owned) both a 5spd and an automatic Miata, then both have their places and appropriate times for use. Are either of them for everyone, not always, but that is why they were offered with the option of either or.
